Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, now living in St Louis, Walter Parks was recently invited by The Library of Congress/American Folklife Collection to showcase and archive the hollers, hymns and reels that were performed by homesteaders in The Okefinokee Swamp – the headwaters of The Suwannee River. For 10 years Walter toured and recorded the world over with Woodstock legend Richie Havens – performing at New York’s Carnegie Hall and Madison Square Garden and at The Glastonbury Festival in England. In 2014, Walter was the sole accompanist of Judy Collins at her Lincoln Center tribute to Pete Seeger. Walter is the leader of two Americana roots groups – Swamp Cabbage (electric-folk/rock) and The Unlawful Assembly (reimagined spirituals).
Blues Music Award Nominated Guitarist, Singer & Songwriter Jeremiah Johnson blends the sounds of the south, with Mississippi River blues, and a touch of country flair. Emotionally charged southern rock, powered by the common man’s passion for life and all the struggles in-between, Jeremiah presents songs with meaning, a powerfully persuasive voice and master class musicianship.
