- “Crazy Love”
- “My Friend”
- “Rose of Cimarron”
For more than 50 years, Poco’s distinctive harmonies and stellar musicianship helped define the sound of country-rock. Led by the band co-founder and multi-instrumentalist, Rusty Young who wrote and sang their biggest hit, Crazy Love. Over the years, Poco was a dedicated unit of four formidable songwriters, vocalists, arrangers and players who gave us the music of our lives. Rather than canceling the scheduled weekend after Rusty left us this past April, the decision was made to play the concerts in honor of the only member who had ever been on stage at every single Poco show there ever was since 1968.
Wildwood Lodge has always held a special place in Rusty Young’s heart, ever since POCO played their first concert here in October 2001. That was the weekend Rusty met Mary and they were married here October 3, 2004. It only seems fitting to bring all the Wildwood Poco fans back together this year to share their love for the band, the music and for Rusty Young. The concerts will include Rusty’s current band-mates, Jack Sundrud, Rick Lonow and Tom Hampton. It will be an emotional weekend for all of us, but it will also be a time for healing and celebration of a life well lived.
